Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken extra lean
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 c cilantro finely chopped
  • 1/4 c Snell House Southwest sauce
  • 1/2 c Bread crumbs Slightly processed large oats work great as a gluten-free alternative!
  • 1 egg

Instructions
  1. Add ground chicken to a large mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Preheat your barbecue or non-stick pan
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly (this is a great step for kids to help with, some will love the feeling of the chicken between their fingers! Just make sure they're being well supervised and wash their hands afterwards)
  3. Once the burgers are mixed, form patties with your hands. The mixture will make 4-6 burgers, depending on how big you want them
  4. Cook the burgers until they are done all the way through, about 5 minutes per side
  5. Place your burger on your bun of choice, and top with a little extra Snell House Southwest Sauce! If you like things a little spicy, add some Sriracha sauce for a little extra kick

These burgers are as versatile as a classic beef hamburger. Feel free to add any or all of your favourite burger toppings, from cheese to vegetables to other condiments- the sky's the limit!
